HE IS THE DESIRE OF ALL NATIONS.
(THE BOOK OF HAGGAI)

Scripture Reading: Haggai 2:6-7 Additional Bible Reading: Psalms 45:1-17, Isaiah 53:1-5, Proverbs 1.

JESUS CHRIST IS THE DESIRE OF ALL NATIONS.
The scripture in Haggai was highly prophetic. As the Prophet challenged the people to rebuild the Temple that was in ruins he began to prophecy to them that a time was coming when God will shake all nations, the dry land and the sea and the Desire of Nations shall come!! Prophet Haggai was prophesying about Jesus. Indeed He is the Desire of all nations, tribes and tongues. In our day, it is still partial fulfillment but as He burst forth through the eastern sky, all nations, tribes and tongue will acknowledge our Lord as the King of Kings and the Lord of lords. The Bible says that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of all. The Second Temple or the Latter House is the present day church of Jesus Christ. It may not have the outward superficial splendor or magnificence of the First Temple (Solomon's Temple) but it carries a much higher glory. It carries the glory of the latter house and the Bible says that the glory of the latter house shall far exceed the glory of the former because Jesus Christ will be present in the Latter House. The Prophet Isaiah talked about this latter glory in Isaiah 2:2 (please read it). The mountain of the Lord's house shall be exalted above the mountains and the hills; and nations shall flow into it because of the presence of our Lord and Savior in His House. In Isaiah 53, He had no beauty that we should desire Him because as He paid the ransom and penalty for our sins. He became marred and disfigured. He gave us His beauty for our ashes.  Beloved, this was all before His ascension to the right hand of glory where He now rules in dominion and power. Beloved, Jesus Christ must be your ultimate Desire. He must be the One you go to church or to service to meet with. He must be the One that you worship, not only today or the month of February or in 2018 but for all the days of your life. He must be the desire of your heart, of your soul and the object of your worship; same for your family and house. You should not place any desires above Him, not the desire of money, power, fame, sex. Have no other gods beside Him or before Him. All those desires should bow down to the ultimate Desire. Jesus Christ is fairer than ten thousands; He is fairer than all the sons of men. Psalms 45 says that He has been anointed with the oil of gladness above all His companions. Beloved, seek Jesus not only in this season but in all your seasons. I am particularly stirred up by this presentation of Jesus because this is one of the key missions of our church. God asked us to start a church so He will have a platform to manifest the glory and splendor of His majesty. We are in the days of the latter temple. We are in the days of the temple of Glory. The Desire of all nations is in His house, let us all go to Him today!!

Today's Prayer: Jesus, I acknowledge you and I bow to you as my Desire of all nations. I declare today that I will place you above all other desires of my heart. I will lead other people to desire you and place you above all other desires. Thank you Lord Jesus for bringing me to the first day of February. I consecrate this day as first fruit to you. Bless my day and my month.
