AS YOUR DAYS ARE, SO SHALL YOUR STRENGTH BE (PART 2)
Yesterday we began an interesting study on one of the significant blessings of the tribe of Asher. All those blessings belong to the church today. They belong to you today. Today we will go a little bit deeper. The second layer of revelation in our main scripture is the fact that God wants you to be RELEVANT in your day. As your days ARE so shall your STRENGTH BE! You have to be stronger than your days to stay on top of your days. At the very minimum, you must be as strong as your day. There are no mountains anywhere; every man's IGNORANCE is his "mountain". The more you know, the less the issues and problems of life will appear as mountains. Joseph, Daniel and others in the bible were very relevant to their days and to the kingdoms that they lived in. Being as strong as your day is not saying to conform to the evil and compromises of this age. No! But it means using the wisdom and understanding of God to solve the social, economic and political questions of your day. It means having the strength to be a solution provider. It means to solve the riddles and enigmas of our day. I usually tell people not to allow people to employ them on the basis of sympathy, sentiments or pity, No! Be employed because of the value you are bringing to the organization. You must be valued because of what you are bringing to the table. Do not let them keep you only on the basis of pity. That will be an insult to your God. As your days are, so shall your strength be! Get all the requirements skills and training that will make you strong and relevant in the marketplace of today. Some of you will need to go back to school to get trained for your present and future. Remember, God will NOT bless you beyond your competence and skills. Reposition and prepare yourself in the area of your calling and purpose. Refuse to be a museum piece or an 'old prophet". Be strengthened in the area that God has called you! Have a really blessed day!
Question and Reflection of the Day: Are you as strong as your day? Do you feel NEEDED where you are, where you work or the area of your calling? Are you relevant?
Today's Prayer: Father, make me as strong as my day! Make me relevant to my generation. Help me to be a pacesetter and a trend setter. Bless my day, my father!
