THE TWELVE COMMANDMENTS FOR THE NEXT HALF OF 2017.

1). Thou shall clearly identify your objectives, goals and vision for the next six months of 2017. What do you want to achieve?

Think hard and seriously. It does not have to be more than 2 or 3 key goals. Paul says - '...This one thing I do.'

2). Thou shall start doing some new things in your life. What new actions, strategies, habits will help you to achieve these goals? Spiritual and physical:- Study the bible more, Pray more, start your word confessions- the word of God is tried and tested; walk in obedience more, get more training, read more, work harder, dress better, lose some weight etc. Every new action produces new effects!

3). Thou shall drop/remove certain things in your life. What things do I need to drop? Lifestyle, habits, addictions? Sexual sins, pornography, alcoholism? Gossip? What things in my life will impede God's grace and work in my life? Ruthlessly deal with those things. Do not be a christian who plead promises and break principles!!

4). Thou shall become a person of convictions. Re-appraise your belief systems and convictions. What are their basis? Be known for your convictions. Are you like water? Are you unstable like Reuben? Are you constantly seeking acceptance and affirmation from people? Is there emptiness on your inside? Never allow your life to be ruled by other people's opinion or acceptance of you.

Your convictions should be rooted in the bible.

5). Thou shall show up fully in life. Life is not a rehearsal. This is the real thing. Become desperate and aggressive in life. Give life your utmost best. Labour to enter your rest. Declare weekly personal fasts and prayer times. Set days in the week to fast and pray.

6). Thou shall stop playing a defensive game in life. It is time to get on the offensive. The best form of defense is attack!! Get proactive. Take the battle to the enemies camp. Determine to score some goals beginning from this month. Approach life from the position of victory.

7). Thou shall know that you cannot make it all by yourself. You need coaches. You need mentors. You need teachers. You need other team mates. Some victories and wins may require other players. Be careful that you properly identify the significant covenant relationships in your life. Do not allow the devil to damage those relationships.

8). Thou shall honor, bless and obey the God ordained authority figures in your life. God works a lot of times using the authority figures in your life. (Compare Saul and David's relationships with Prophet Samuel. King Saul kept disobeying Samuel). EVERY KING NEEDS A PROPHET!!!

Know who to obey and please. The first instruction Prophet Samuel gave to Saul was disobeyed. The second instruction was partially obeyed.

9). Thou shall break all the toxic and ungodly relationships in your life. "He who walks with the wise will be wise but the companion of fools will be destroyed..."

10). Thou shall determine to put God first and serve Him in measurable ways from this month. God always blesses servants. Join the church workforce. Serve in a department.

11). Thou shall not pull down, constantly criticize, murmur, curse or bicker against anywhere you feed from. Country, Office, business, boss, church etc.

12). Thou shall imbibe the powerful kingdom principle of repentance. It goes beyond asking for forgiveness, it goes beyond remorse to TURNING AWAY from the thing. True repentance is one of the greatest demonstration of humility. God blesses humble and broken people. If you realize that you have missed it, TURN!

The best apology is changed behavior!
